Senior Accountant


Support G&A tasks related to in-house accounting (in combination with external accounting consultants), purchasing, inventory control, and selected HR tasks.

Major Duties & responsibilities

Accounting-related responsibilities

  • Process bi-monthly payroll for US exempt and non-exempt employees

  • Ensure an accurate and timely payroll, including base pay, payroll taxes, 401(k), statutory and supplemental benefits, etc.

  • Perform other payroll and expense related duties, including ad hoc projects/data requests as needed

  • Interact with Moss Adams for month end closing activities

  • Generate reports from Quickbooks for revenue, expenses, inventory balances, etc.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for external auditors

  • Ensure deadlines are met in accordance with company’s policies and procedures, including tax and other regulatory required filings

  • Review AP prior to authorizing payments

  • Interact with senior executives regarding financial matters

  • Follow up with customers per AR aging report

Inventory-related responsibilities

  • Place purchase orders for inventory and non-inventory items

  • Enter MRP transactions for all inventory moves

  • Perform routine inventory cycle counts

  • Process lot history records/routers

  • Ensure and manage inventory levels

  • Participate in key strategic initiatives and assist with other ad hoc projects

  • Process sales orders and returns, including paperwork generation

General responsibilities

  • Onboarding of new employees

  • Performing misc. office duties and projects as needed for various departments (Engineering, Customer Service, Purchasing, Accounting, Production)

  • Other duties as assigned


Education & Experience

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.

  • Minimum 4 years experience required.

Other Requirements

  • Basic computer proficiency and familiar with software such as MS Word, MS Excel, and Quickbooks

  • Ability to multi-task within a dynamic start-up environment

  • Detailed-oriented

  • Able to communicate effectively and work within a team environment
